Who I am

This website is run by Lorraine Ambers, a writer based in Wales. I'm responsible for your personal data. You can contact me at hello@lorraineambers.com.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, I keep your email address and, if you give it, your first name. I use them only to send you my newsletter. I rely on your consent, which you give by subscribing and confirming by email.

My newsletter is sent through MailerLite, which stores your details on my behalf. It also records when and how you subscribed, and whether my emails are opened, so I can see what readers find useful.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. I keep your details until you unsubscribe, then remove them.

When you email me

If you email me, for example to request a critique, I use your email and anything you send only to reply. I don't share it, and I delete critique pages once I've replied.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data I hold about you, or withdraw your consent at any time. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
